German manufacturer launches sliding shutters with integrated solar PV for building facades

Ehret has developed SolarSlide, a sliding shutter system integrating photovoltaic modules to enhance building facades with solar power generation and shading. Created with Fraunhofer ISE, the product addresses energy efficiency by reducing heat gain and generating electricity simultaneously. Its two configurations cater to different scales and installation needs, supporting both new builds and retrofits.
